As much as I hate to say it... Bailouts... hard money loans... anything where your taken out of the drivers seat will have earmarks, restrictions, and things you have to accept... In the case of GM, for example, what choice do they have or had? If they weren't such a HUGE economic impact on the economy they would have failed and gone out of busienss just like the rest of businesses that made bad decisions or ran out of money!

These two bills are particularly disturbing:

http://www.gencourt.state.nh.us/legislation/2009/hb0072.html
http://www.gencourt.state.nh.us/legislation/2009/hb0053.html

72 would make it nearly impossible to get a secret vote at town meetings and 53 would exempt a lot of government groups from the Right to Know law.

The commission is meeting on the 16th, all should attend.

The AH-1W is to be replaced by the AH-1Z I understand. They - like the updated UH-1Y will have more power and I believe a four bladed composite rotor. The distinctive WHOOP WHOOP sound from the two bladed rotors will be gone - making them more stealthy. The current sound does have an effect on the enemy - they know what is coming before they can see it but that is a double edged sword. More stealth will be good.

The Zulu's also will be easier to maintain with the composite rotors - the whole assembly can be replaced in a day rather than the weeks it takes for the current Whiskey model. Full computerized instruments and advances in the weapons will also make the new Cobras even more of a deterrent.

Those AH-1W's will continue to strike fear in our enemies for yers to come. I also read the old UH-1N's Hueys are also going to be replaced by the UN-1Y "Yankee".

Here some specs of the bird that will continue to make the terrorists run:

• More lift. The “Yankee” has 76 percent more lift than existing November Hueys. Along with extra troops — up to 8 combat-loaded Marines can fit comfortably aboard along with the pilots and crew — it can haul more fuel for longer-range missions, and it can fly at higher altitudes.

• Greater speed. With a top speed of 228 mph, the Yankee goes almost 80 percent faster than the UH-1N. Chown noted that door gunners firing .50-cal. machine guns have had to adjust when firing their weapons at those faster airspeeds.

• Improved survivability. Seats are built to better withstand impact, and reduced heat signature from the engines, along with faster speed and better maneuverability, increases the Yankee’s ability to evade an enemy.

<p>I am so glad someone is talking about this - I understand that Radium is even one of the many byproducts of production of energy in these Hydrogen to Helium converters. Those comercial that list all the stuff in cigarrete smoke are nothing to the list of chemicals these things produce. </p>
<p>I read that the closer you ar to one of these the warmer it gets - we have to stop this insanity!</p>
<p>I hope Obama make it his personal quest to destroy every one of there. He is like a Rock Star - everyone would listen to him if he called for shutting them down.</p>

My brother lives over next to Eglin Air Force Base and has many friends deployed in the desert still. I can imagine how seeing the American aircraft and helicopters is reasssuring to you. My brother said they actually tested the MOAB bomb on Eglin years ago and announced it through all the local news cahnnels & media so nobody would be scared.

When the bomb was tested it sent the biggest shockwave out he had ever felt. Normal businesses that aren't affected by the activities of the airstrip were even shaken that day.

Some people are bothered by the noise. My brother says most feel patriotic every time they hear it. I say, "Let Freedom Ring".

When I first heard of Citgo's request, I passed it off as more Venezuelan rhetoric. Releasing oil from the Strategic Reserve to Chavez just didn't pass the common sense test!

This morning, CNN says Citgo has withdrawn the request which had been made to ensure continued supply to a Citgo refinery. Excuse me, but Chavez is threatening to cut off deliveries of Venezuelan oil to the US! You mean he doesn't want it to work both ways? I say send him a big message: <strong><a href="http://cynicalsynapse.wordpress.com/2008/09/13/boycott-citgo-to-keep-chavez-from-holding-us-hostage/" rel="nofollow">boycott Citgo</a></strong>!

Once again prudent Americans are raped and left out in the cold by politicians eager for votes. This economic stimulus plan smacks of bread and circuses.

Pelosi told a Capitol Hill news conference that first and foremost, the stimulus package will put money in the hands of hardworking Americans.

Full rebates would be sent to single taxpayers who earned up to $75,000 and couples with incomes of as much as $150,000. The value of the payments would decline after that and phase out entirely at incomes of roughly $87,000 for individuals and $174,000 for joint filers.

I guess the lesson Pelosi is trying to send is that anyone that makes over $87,000 is not a hard working American, but those people who do not work and live off the tit of politicians are what makes America Great.

This is intended to serve only the needs of Robert Rubin and his Citi bank
