Baldasaro - you waskally wabbit you!

The Elmer Fudd of the Democrat party, the Democracy for New Hampshire blog, is upset at Rep. Al Baldasaro - which was exactly his intention. They are upset because Al is proposing to add the Moonbat Carlo Shea (They screwed up her name - who am I to argue) to Rep. Betty Hall’s resolution calling for the impeachment of Bush and Cheney. They call it illegal!

Well, first, the resolution is a non-binding document intended to be a sense of the House statement. If passed copies would be made and mailed to Speaker Pelosi and a few other people who would dutifully file it away and do nothing. It is litterally not worth the paper it will be printed on. Its only value is the publicity of embarrassing the President and Vice President and that value is all in the head of Rep. Hall and her moonbattish friends in the Democrat Party.

Democracy for New Hampshire included the following:

We were able to get 2 independent opinions saying that it is illegal according to US Constitution for a State legislature to impeach a sitting federal US House Representative!
(What is Baldasaro trying to pull over these NH State Reps???!!!)

It would likewise be illegal for the State legislature to actually impeach the President and Vice President. The resolution does not impeach anyone - even if it passed unanimously. It would simply ask the US Congress to impeach them. And the US Congress also has the power to expel their own members which.

Of course Rep. Baldasaro is attempting to do is setup a situation where Rep. Hall would be obliged to vote against her own resolution. This is fair game. It is done on actual bills, those pieces of legislation that do mean something when passed by the legislature. The sponsor doesn’t have to like it and if the bill then passes against their wishes - they will know forever that their name is attached to legislation they opposed. It really is rather fun when it happens to your opponent, not so much when it is your bill. But it happens.

Of course the amendment proposed by Baldasaro will undoubtedly fail, the Democrats are unlikely to vote for it and the Republicans do not have the votes. Should be fun to watch. The nurse might wish to be present and have the portable defibrillator ready.
