Obama is for change or is it for hope, or is he just hoping for change? Or changing his hopes?

Civil Rights Filibuster Ended

At 9:51 on the morning of June 10, 1964, Senator Robert C. Byrd completed an address that he had begun 14 hours and 13 minutes earlier. The subject was the pending Civil Rights Act of 1964, a measure that occupied the Senate for 57 working days, including six Saturdays.

Byrd says he viewed the Klan as a useful platform from which to launch his political career.

You would think that as the first black to be close to the nomination for president some of the change he would hope for would be to help eliminate those who worked to keep blacks “in their place!” It certainly seems a stretch that Obama would be interested in extending the tenure of the senator from West Virginia who was 1) a leader of the KKK 2) one of the senators who filibustered the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
