Who sounds more JFK like?
Posted on February 20, 2008
Two speeches last night. One candidate keeps being compared to JFK.
nothing worthwhile in this country has ever happened except somebody somewhere was willing to hope.
…
That is how the greatest generation, my grandfather fighting in Patton’s army, my grandmother staying at home with a baby, working on a bomber assembly line, how that greatest generation defeated Hitler and fascism and lifted itself up out of a great depression.
Do I need to say which was McCain and which was Obama? He really expects anyone to believe that it was simply hope that routed the Germans and Japanese in WWII Yes I do know that Italy was the third Axis power). John McCain understands first hand what is required to prevail against those who would end our way of life, destroy out society and hoping is never enough. Hope is nothing compared to hard work, training, sacrifice and and the courage to back up your conviction with more than aspirational rhetoric.
