Chavez trying to steal Hitler role from Ahmadinejad

In the ongoing saga of the WWII reenactment drama, it had been well established that Iran was to take Germany’s role and Venezuela would portray Italy. But it seems that Hugo Chavez is not satisfied with that - after all italy lost first and had a lesser role in the original drama.

Chavez has moved on from the simple fascist/socialist agenda of taking control of all important industries in his economically distressed country has now moved into the Hitler style political agenda of eliminating all opposition parties and then replacing them with one single party - the “United Socialist Party”. One wonders if the Spanish translation will lead to the acronym “PUS” - it seems appropriate somehow.

The biting wit of the man shines thru the plan. While some might say it is a ploy to provide himself with perpetual power, he buries his tongue firmly in his cheek as he says his party will be:

constructed from the bottom up.

Yes he is constructing it from the bottom up - by keeping his foot firmly planted on the top!

Chavez is also taking another page from Hitlers script and is in talks with Russia about a separate alliance against the US. It should be noted, that in the original drama, the Russian negotiations were a ruse for Hitler to placate the large hungry bear to his east so that he could attack and capture Europe without having to fight on all fronts at once. This non-aggression pact lasted only as long as it fit Hitler’s plan, he then invaded Russia. One has to wonder how closely Chavez plans to follow that previous script.

This script for the WWII re-enactment drama is certainly getting convoluted. I suppose we won’t actually know who is playing which roles until the curtain goes up on opening night.
