CORZINE SHOULD RESIGN
Posted on June 29, 2007
NJ Governor Corzine should resign! He was responsible for his driver, a State Trooper, driving at 26mph over the speed limit causing a crash that caused serious bodily injury. He has no excuse - there was no emergency. The Governor was on his way to address the Rutgers University women’s basketball team who were insulted by talk Show host Don Imus.
Corzine is lucky his actions did not result in his or some innocent person’s death. he should be facing charges as should his driver. The trooper knew, as did the governor, that he had no legitimate reason for endangering the lives of every person on that highway.
The head of the Trooper’s union is even trying to eliminate the suspension the trooper faces for his part in the accident. He contends that - even though the trooper was violating the law and state police policy at the time of the accident - the trooper is not at fault.
Now, he is partly right when he contends the trooper was not at fault. the Governor was also at fault, at present they are both un-indicted co-conspirators (gee I like that phrase when a Democrat is involved).
