GOP LEGISLATORS SPEAK ON THE LYNCH BUDGET
Posted on June 28, 2007
Is nice to see and hear my friends, sad that it is to have them talking about the massive increase in spending in the Lynch budget. The revenue numbers that the Democrats came up with are bloated and unreasonable. The next governor will come into office facing a massive deficit, not a surplus like John Lynch inherited from Craig Benson.
This budget combined with the as yet “priceless” definition of adequacy (no cost estimate has yet been made but the cost will be HUGE!) will be a gaping hole bigger than Winnipesaukee. That hole will be the justification for Democrats to propose and Lynch to “reluctantly” accept a new state tax - income, sales, or a doubling or trippling of the statewide property tax.
